Radhuny names itself a »contemporary Indian restaurant«. Contemporary here is justified in a number of respects: the guest room has a surprisingly modern design and the often to be found decoration of Indian origin is absent. Although the dishes are prepared traditionally they show some modern influence and the restaurant attaches great importance to the presentation of the meals.
The waiters are friendly, competent and very helpful in giving advice when one is uncertain in selecting a dish. I asked for guidance, stating to wish something not so common, and what I then got was very good. The »Nazimi Sheek« which I had as a starter was excellent and kept the promise of a »bursting of tastes« made in the description in the menu. Also my main dish »Chicken Adhraki« was very spicy and tasteful, and as hot as I desired. The complete menu can be found on the restaurant’s web-site.
The prices are moderate, comparable to the prices I’m used on the continent. Starters are priced around £4 and main courses around £8. Overall, this a is very pleasing restaurant, and if I should happen to come to Dartford again, surely worth to be considered for another dinner.
